Sales Engineer

Responsible for selling into new prospects as well as farming back into existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels. Measures of success include new customer acquisition, repeat purchase, up-selling, cross-selling, customer satisfaction, and contribution to overall sales team and business success.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell company products and services from existing and prospective clients
  • Managing customer accounts demonstrates products and services and assist the customer in identifying needs, and successfully match customer requirements to proposed solutions
  • Display efficiency in gathering market and customer info to enable negotiations regarding variations in prices, delivery, and customer specifications
  • Develop and maintain a good business relationship with clients
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Plan, prepare and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence

Qualifications

  • Preferably earned Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Seasoned, hardworking smart, and proven over achieving Sales Engineer
  • Proven track record selling solutions
  • With a solid network in the following industries:
    • Commercial Market
    • Major Contractors
    • Building and Trades
    • Industrial Market
    • Manufactures
    • Industrial Contractors
    • Agriculture and Fisheries
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand the manner
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in Pumps Systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
